Product Description
The FinePix S6500fd from Fuji is a sleek camera brimming with the latest technological functions. It takes its place in an impressive line-up of current bridge type cameras, which are greatly admired by photography connoisseurs. The S6500fd has a 6 million pixel 6th Generation Super CCD RH sensor, an electronic viewfinder and a 10.7x zoom lens. It combines technology and performance by offering a wide range of features for all your digital photography needs: a Real Image II processor; a fast response time (the release remains under 35 milliseconds) and other tools to rectify problems during poor conditions. Fujifilm has developed a face detection technology that automatically recognises up to 10 faces in the frame, ensuring that the camera knows to focus on the people, and also to ensure that they are exposed properly. The S6500fd also boasts a sensitivity setting of ISO 3200 means that even in poor lighting conditions you can still continue shooting. Another innovation is the intelligent flash that can be adjusted to give different power outputs and the exposure settings can also be adjusted to give natural lighting to your photos. The andldquo;Natural and Flashandrdquo; mode gives you the choice of two shots: one with, and one without the flash. With a level of image quality and exceptional functions that are bordering the Digital SLR, the S6500fd is sure to satisfy photographers of all levels.

Customer Reviews
Brilliant.
After months of research on the internet trying to find the right camera for me I found the s6500 and imediately new it was for me.
I've had a 35mm SLR previously and wanted the manual options as well as auto mode.
I have not been dissapointed. This camera is brilliant. So easy to use even before reading the instructions.
Very little delay on shooting and the menu is quick and easy to follow.
The batteries last for ages and memory cards on amazon are really cheap..If I had to knock it at all I would say that not supplying a
mains adaptor and soft case with the camera is a bit tight of fuji. These items are easy to get hold of but I think they should have been
in the box. Hasnt put me off though and with the price of this camera dropping every week I think its a real bargain now.
You wont regret buying this camera.
excelent camera for the intermediate
Just got this cammera and can't put it down. perfect for the keen amarature with everything you need and more. half the price of a cheap
slr with a great range of functions and capabilities.
good size nice and bulky and sturdy. feels like a camera should.
used to have a s5000 which i thought was great until i dropped it on a concrete floor but this is much better. fixed lens so it dosent
take a lifetime to start up and great user control if thats what you want but also a great automatic for when you want someone to take a
picture of you!!
buy it
Good but a little disappointing
The build quality and the feel of it in your hand is excellent. It makes you feel like a professional even if you're not. All in all, it
looks the part.
When you turn it on it's easy to use. I'm one of those people who turns it on first and reads the manual later and I got to grips with it
in no time.
The disappointment arises when you really start to take pictures. The lack of an image stabiliser compared to its rivals becomes
apparent. One of it's main selling points for me was the excellent 10.7 optical zoom lens, however, this cannot be used to its full
extent as camera shake affects shots too much at high zoom levels. They've attempted to compensate with a quick shutter speed. However,
in all but the best light conditions, this leads to under exposure, which leads us to another little flaw. In low light levels (or simply
shadows or dark areas in shots) there is a high level of noise (all the pixels appear to be of slightly varying shades of black in what
should be a totally black area) which can often lead to the edges of objects, especially when there is a light and dark contrast,
becoming fuzzy.
This is still a great camera regardless and is well worth a look if it's the right price for you but let me sum it up this way. The other
day I was out with my girlfriend and there was a beautiful winter sunset. I got my S6500fd out and had to take 7 shots, with various
tweaks to settings, before I got one without the problems mentioned above. My girlfriend took out her tiny high spec compact camera and
took a stunning photo first time. Annoying to say the least
