Manufacturer's Description
The Fuji FinePix E900 Digital Camera is the right choice for photo enthusiasts who want digital SLR quality, in a compact point-and-shoot
body. Designed for the serious digital photographer AND the aspiring enthusiast, the FinePix E900 takes digital photography to a higher
level.
Packing a powerful 9 megapixel, 5th Generation Super CCD HR sensor (the highest resolution available in a consumer digital camera) the FinePix E900 joins Fujifilm's already popular E-series line of cameras and continues the tradition of point-and-shoot ease and photographic essentials such as image quality, form factor, and powerful feature sets including manual controls, found in all E-series models. The E900 has a powerhouse photographic engine in an ergonomic point-and-shoot design, allowing aspiring photographers to take better pictures than ever before.
The E900 offers Fujifilm's innovative Real Photo Technology, which provides many benefits for the user, including faster operation, low noise processing, better low-light shooting, and higher shutter speeds that minimize blurriness in photos at even the highest ISO setting of 800 and in full resolution. In addition, fully automatic features on the E900 provide point-and-shoot simplicity, while manual and customizable feature settings provide additional control, particularly when combined with the power of optional lenses.
In addition to a convenient, ergonomic, travel-friendly design, the E900 offers a large 2-inch LCD screen making taking and sharing pictures easy. A mode dial provides easy access to advanced shooting modes and a 4x optical zoom, which can be enhanced with optional lens adapters, allows users to tailor each shot to their needs. Other versatile shooting functions include a live histogram display for exposure settings and a highlight warning function.
Its new Fujinon lens delivers beautiful photos that mirror what your eyes will see. The built-in Anti-Blur program suppresses any blurring from a shaky camera, while the High Speed Shooting Mode means you always get the shot, no matter how fast the subject is moving. A new world of superb digital photos has just opened up! Exciting features include: 4x optical zoom, 7.6x digital zoom, 30.4x total range Mode dial for easy access to common shooting functions, full auto point and shoot mode, 5 pre-programmed scene position modes: anti-blur, natural light, portrait, night and landscape. The FinePix viewer downloads photos to a PC each time you connect PictBridge and lets you transfer directly to compliant printers. Now you can skilfully capture those moments and preserve them forever!

value for money
good features with 9mp quality and in affordable price makes this product 'must to buy'.If you want latest techonolgy in cheap than go
for it.
Great camera, more than point and shoot!
I received an E 900 for Christmas and I am really delighted with it. The quality of the pictures are nothing less than superb. I have
been taking photographs on a regular basis since the mid 1970's. I have used top quality 35mm and 2 1/4 square cameras and the prints
from the E900 camera are as good or better. I wanted a digital camera which would allow me to do more than simply point and shoot. I
wanted to be able to adjust the aperture or speed etc. This camera allows this and more. I intend to add the wide and tele adapters to
the kit and this will make it almost as versatile an an SLR without the weight or bulk.
Personally, I like the aesthetics of the camera, whilst others may not. But as they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
It is a compact and robust camera and does have a quality feel to it. Despite its size the controls are not too fiddly or awkward to use.
Whilst I have one or two small criticisms they would still not deter me from recommending the camera or giving it less than 5 stars. One
of my gripes is you have to press a button to put the flash up, maybe this could have been automated and secondly, the control dial on
the top is easily moved and could be knocked off the setting very easily, a little release button might have been possible here.
Nevertheless anyone looking for an advanced compact should consider the Fuji E900 seriously, and given the current Amazon price it is too
good to miss. (It went down in price a week after I purchased it!)
Great little camera
We bought this as our first digital in the point and shoot arena and wanted a reasonable standard and ease of use. The e900 satisfies
both requirements, the versatility from web-standard through to detail shots (9 meg pixels) is outstanding along with the bonus of
recording sound and motion.
We're buying the conversion kit as per other reviews to go with it, and anyone considering buying this camera, we recommend buying the
case and the 1gb memory card while you're at it. The 16mb supplied is no good for RAW format images and the case gives the beast a bit of
tlc. As another reviewer said, it's a smaller camera than the photo suggests. But it's a surprisingly capable one. Recommended.
