Very good camera with few short comings
This is my first compact digital camera and i must say it is a very good camera. The main reasons in buying this is for the good quality 10 megapixel photos and the amazingly small size.

This camera has a plethora of pre selected shot settings: sunset, children, portrait, scenery etc. I was pleasantly surprised with the video recording quality, but it is in no way as good as a video recorder. The controls are very simple to use and has a good UI. The battery life is very good, i think i took about 300 pictures till the camera needed charging. I was initially disappointed with the lack of viewfinder but i found the LCD to handle direct sunlight quite well.

There were a few things i didn't like about this camera tho. The "anti-shake" or "image stabilization" setting is a joke as all it does is increase the ISO which just makes the pictures look worse. If you want to charge the camera or transfer pictures to your computer then you need to use the supplied dock which is annoying as you must carry it with you on holiday or where every you need the camera for long periods.

Overall this is a very good camera with a few short comings, if your looking for a compact camera that takes quality pictures without running out of battery fast then this is your camera.

high quality pics n easy to use
i'm proud to have this EX-Z100 , it gave best pictures compared to my frenz's digicams eventhough the price is not high .
i just bought this digicam and testing with all the mode and setting and also the anti-shaking effect .Compared to any others digicam ,this is the one i really love .
The image quality is good . To get best picture , u shud use best shot setting , n it really easy to use it n also with variety of choices .
Quality of video captured is also excellent but just for 10minutes , but that's already enough to upload in you tube!
I tried the anti-shaking effect , and it really good.
it's only weakness is it dont have built in memory ,without external memory or memory card , u just can take atmost 2pictures or 6second video.But it wont be a problem since external memory is not expensive.
USB cable is also good and easy to use.

This is my third Digital Camera in the last 10 years
I have been very impressed with Casio Exilim ever since my skiing buddy used one 3 years ago in Breckenridge. The ease of use in cold hostile environments make this a winner! All my other have failed with short battery life and fiddly buttons. The quality of the output has always been excellent. Was it him or the camera? Well I have bought this one because of him!
So far so good the pictures are enormous and so I have edited them down in Fireworks. The clarity and sharpness are the best I have ever seen for digital.
The output can just compare with My Canon EOS 35mm SLR. This is the first digital to compare to analogue.
Digital has come of age at last!
Despite what WHICH? say about it, its excellent and they failed to review it properly with an incorrect specification e.g. Anti-shake etc.
I can recommend this one to anyone who can do Digital editing.
